Why Health Should Top Your Priority List For a Balanced Life

When you ask people what their top priorities in life are, they may tell you it’s “raising a happy family” or “pursuing a successful career.” Very few people say it’s to “live a healthy lifestyle.” Here’s why good health should be your #1 priority for a balanced life.

First of all, I believe there are at least four aspects of a balanced life — good health, a thriving career, great social relationships, and personal integrity. It’s very important to strike a balance between all four aspects, otherwise you can never be truly happy in life.

For instance, there are some people out there who have thriving careers, but they end up neglecting their families. On the other hand, some people have great relationships, but are always having trouble finding the money for their basic needs. And others enjoy great personal hobbies, but don’t have the mindset or ability to make money out of them.

Out of all these aspects, it’s most important to have good health. You may have great relationships, a great career, and great hobbies and interests. But when you’re sick, you don’t enjoy any of that. THAT’S why you should put your health on top of the list!
