Do you have any plan for this weekend? If not or you would like to stay home during that period, why won’t you find something to do like improving your home. This article will show you how easy and fun to build a standing tool stand. Just try it yourself!
What you should know & have:
- Time: Under Half Day
- Cost: $1 – $50
- Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Step 1: Prepare Pieces of Wood First
You have to cut pieces of wood as following:
- 2” x 4”s to build posts
- 1” x 4”s to build banding
- 1” x 2”s to build dividers
Step 2: Build a Frame
Put all pieces on the floor and use 1” x 4”s to build a couple of 2’ square boxes. Arrange 2” x 4”s posts in corners and nail in place. We are going to erect top banding.
Then use some 4” x 4”s to set another banding on top at the same height off the floor. This is used for the bench.

Step 3: Attach Dividers
Turn the frame over and arrange it in place. It would be better if you check twice to make sure that it is level using a carpenter’s square. After that, use wood screws to attach all posts to the prepared banding.
You might need to mark location of dividers to add the first two in place. Then stick it with brad nailer. Put another two across the top and tighten it.
